WATER TREATMENT PLANTS

Watershed Technologies Ltd, in collaboration with our technical partners (Scanwater Ventures), supply and install Aqualite Iron, and Reverse Osmosis (RO Systems) water treatment and purification plants and equipment to the general community. All components are imported from California, USA, and are approved for drinking water.
We serve the needs of public individuals, NGOs, Commercial and development markets with water treatment plants and equipment. The Aqualite plant is mainly for iron and its related purifications whilst the RO Systems are for all kinds of water Treatment. They are available as portable, mobile and stationary units and can be single-filter or multi-filter installations with capacity from 400 to 500,000 liter of potable water per hour.
In Ghana, we have supplied and installed a large number of Aqualite, and RO water treatment plants to small towns’ water supply projects, mainly for the removal of Salt, Iron, Manganese, and many others. Typically for towns with population of 3,000 – 50,000 people, 12 plants were supplied and installed in two regions in 2008 and 27 plants supplied in 2009/2010 and installed in other regions. Apart from this community demands, a host of private installations have been completed over the years.
The Aqualite treatment system is a selective ion exchanger and removes by absorbing all heavy metals, bacteria, parasites, and other impurities. With its unique properties, it runs several processes in one operation: filtration, chemical and biological reaction, ion exchange and reduction of bacterial growth.
The Aqualite system is suitable for emergency water supply to refugee camps, natural disaster situations, schools, hospitals, hotels, housing estates, fish farms etc., and for pure water manufacturers.
The RO systems are all inclusive water treatment plant which is capable of treating any kind of water bacteria contaminations.
The RO systems and Aqualite filter media is 100% organic and with a life span of approximately 10 years if not continuously submitted to water containing oil products. In this case, the life span guarantee is one year.
Our RO and Aqualite plants are designed and manufactured to withstand extreme climatic conditions. We do not compromise on quality.
Due to the durability, attractive low investment cost, low running and maintenance cost, no chemicals being used in the treatment process, the Aqualite Water Treatment System is the preferred treatment system especially for the removal of iron and manganese in ground water.
